Werke des Künstlers sind u.a. in den Sammlungen des Museum of Modern Art, New York, des San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, der Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, des deYoung Museum, San Francisco, des Dallas Museum of Art, der New York University und des University Art Museum, University of California at Berkeley vertreten. Dozententätigkeit u.a. an der Princeton University und der Carnegie Mellon University sowie an der School of Fine Arts der University of Canterbury. Boyce erhielt für sein Werk zahlreiche Auszeichnungen.
