Isaac II Habrecht used the copper engravings by Willem Jansz. Blaeu and Jodocus Hondius. He copied Hondius' globe and added some details of Blaeu's globe. Antarctica is shown as a large land mass, Australia, whose west coast was already known, is missing. Habrecht drew the voyage routes of John Davis (c. 1550–1605), discovery of the Northwest Passage, of Jacob Jacob Le Maire (1585–1616) and Willem Cornelisz. Schouten (c. 1580–1625), southern Pacific and Tierra del Fuego.
Johann Christian Weigel added "Terra d'eintracht" (for part of Western Australia) and "New Zealand" to his edition. However, he did not enter the 1642 islands discovered by Abel Janszoon Tasman (c. 1603–1659) in the correct place. He depicted Antarctica as a huge land mass. Australia, whose west coast was already known at Habrecht's time, is missing. The voyage routes of John Davis (c. 1550–1605) to discover the Northwest Passage, Jacob Le Maire (1585–1616) and Willem Cornelisz. Schouten (c. 1580–1625) through the southern part of the Pacific and to Tierra del Fuego. Weigel added the names "Terra d'eintracht" for part of Western Australia and "New Zealand" to the edition he supervised, but the latter did not have the correct location of New Zealand discovered by Abel Janszoon Tasman in 1642.
