Wilhelm Rudolph
1889 Chemnitz – 1982 Dresden
Lithografenlehre, 1908–14 Studium an der Dresdner Akademie bei Robert Sterl, Meisterschüler von Carl Bantzer. Ab 1920 freischaffender Künstler, Mitglied der Künstlervereinigung Dresden, auf deren Ausstellungen er seit 1917 ständig vertreten war. 1932 Professur an der Dresdner Akademie, welche ihm 1938 aberkannt wurde, verbunden mit einem Ausstellungsverbot. 1945 Vernichtung eines Großteils seines Werkes. 1947–49 Professor an der HfbK Dresden.
