Deutscher Bildhauer. Ab 1841 Studium an der Dresdner Kunstakademie. Bedeutendster Schüler und Gehilfe von Ernst Rietschel, Mitarbeit in dessen Atelier im Brühlschen Gartenpavillon. 1864 Ehrenmitglied der Dresdner Kunstakademie, 1873 Erhalt der Ehrendoktorwürde der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen.

Pencil drawing auf feinem Papier. In Blei signiert "Tängler" und datiert u.re. und "Gustav Kietz" Mi.li. sowie u.Mi. betitelt. An den o. Ecken im Passepartout montiert.

Papier minimal gebräunt. Ecke u.li etwas knickspurig.
