Copper engraving on hand-made paper. Am li.u. Rand in rechteckigem Feld betitelt "Praelii inter Sereniss: Suecor: Regem Et Saxoniae Electorem Nec Non Catholicae Ligae Generalem Com: A Tili VII. September Anni MDCXXXI" und re. bezeichnet, am o. Rand in einer Rollkartusche mit christlichem Spruch. Erschienen in: Matthäus Merian I: Theatrum Europaeum. Frankfurt 1633.

Die Schlacht bei Breitenfeld von 1631 fand nach dem Eingreifen Schwedens in den Dreißigjährigen Krieg nördlich von Leipzig zwischen den Dörfern Breitenfeld und Seehausen statt.

Knickspurig und fleckig, Randläsionen mit Einrissen, Fehlstellen und Bräunungen.
