1938 Barcelona – lebt in Berlin

1952 Emigration der Familie nach Ost-Berlin. 1958–63 Studium an der Hochschule für bildende und angewandte Kunst in Berlin-Weißensee bei Arno Mohr, Klaus Wittkugel und Werner Klemke. 1968–71 Meisterschülerin an der Akademie der Künste der DDR bei Klemke. 1979 Kunstpreis der DDR, 1989 Nationalpreis der DDR II. Klasse. 1994–96 Gastprofessur an der Universität Greifswald. Seit 1997 lebt und arbeitet die Künstlerin in Berlin und Sant Feliu de Guíxols (Spanien / Katalonien).
