Otto Lange
1879 Dresden – 1944 ebenda
Expressionistischer Maler und Grafiker. Nach einer Dekorationsmalerlehre folgte ein Besuch der Kunstgewerbeschule und anschließend ein Studium an der Kunstakademie in Dresden bei Otto Gussmann. 1915–19 Lehrer an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Bromberg. Danach kehrte er nach Dresden zurück. 1916 erste Einzelausstellung im Kunstsalon Emil Richter in Dresden. Mitglied der "Dresdner Sezession, Gruppe 1919" und der "Novembergruppe" in Berlin. 1925–33 Professur an der Kunstschule für Textilindustrie in Plauen. 1933 Entlassung aus dem Lehramt wegen "jüdisch-marxistischer" Malerei. Danach wieder freischaffend in Dresden.
