Hans Nadler
1910 Dresden – 2005 ebenda
Architekt, Bauhistoriker und Denkmalpfleger. Studium an der Technischen Hochschule Dresden. Beteiligung an Ausgrabungen in Pompeji unter Heinrich Schulze. Ab 1937 Mitglied der NSDAP, nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg als Landeskoservator und Honorarprofessor tätig. Aufgrund seines Einsatzes blieben u.a. das Dresdner Residenzschloss oder die Dreikönigskirche vom Abriss verschont.

Porcelain, glazed, decorated in polychrome overglaze colours, the lid with brown rim and artichoke knob. To the bottom marked with sword mark in underglaze blue, inscribed in overglaze purple with "K. H. K.' and embossed with the mould number "31'.
Provenance: Private collection, Dresden; estate of Hans Nadler, Dresden.
Lid does not close completely flat on one side. To the stand with three chips (approx. 6 mm, 3 mm, 1 mm) and very rarly tiny nicks. Body to the base with a short hairline crack (approx. 4 mm, only visible under UV light). The lid knob with a minimal chip (1 mm). Fine fire crack under the glaze at the base of the lid. Inconspicuously tiny fire spots.
