Jean-Jacques Spoede um 1680 Antwerpen – 1757 Paris

Oil on canvas. Signed on the base of the shell-shaped vessel and partially illegibly dated "J. Spoede 1723 [?]". On the reverse, in fibre-tip pen, with a later number "108363' top right. On the central strut of the stretcher, the hot-stamped number "I'. In a magnificent, original, carved and gilded Rococo decorative frame.

Possibly originally conceived as a supraporte in an interior setting.
