Porzellan der Transitionalzeit um 1620 Jingdezhen – um 1683 ebenda
Porcelain, glazed, decorated in underglaze blue. The ovoid body is decorated all around with a finely executed landscape scene featuring several scholars and servants as well as a horse in a river and mountain landscape, while the neck is decorated with hanging leaves. The lid depicts a scene of scholars with two servants and a goose. The shoulder of the body and the rim of the lid are decorated with a continuous carved wave band and rui cloud decoration.
Rim with a hairline crack (approx. 9 cm), inner rim with three chips (approx. 1.5 cm, 1 cm and 6 mm). A fire crack (approx. 4.5 cm) on the base, with old putty on the outside, and a hairline crack (approx. 1.5 cm and 3 cm) on both sides. Two further glaze cracks with old putty.

Terracotta. Lotusblüte am Schweif als Vase zu verwenden.
Die Plastik adaptiert frei Naga, ein Schlangenwesen oder Schlangengottheit der indischen Mythologie.
Oberfläche verwittert. Eine Flosse am Schwanz abgebrochen.
