117   An exeptional late 18th century Dresden sterling silver coffee service probably by the Dresden silversmith of the court Friedrich Reinhard Schrödel.

Consisting of a coffee pot, milk churn and sugar bowl. The
beated bodies in the shape of inverted pears with a riveted frieze-like floral design. The shallow lids with casted flower-leaf-knobs. Original, ear-shaped black coloured wooden handles.
Hallmarked Dresden last third of the 18th century (R II, 1711-?) and makers mark Friedrich Reinhard Schrödel (R II, 1813 - ?).

H. 26 cm (Kaffeekanne), 19 cm (Milchkännchen), 20 cm (Zuckerdose).

The body with a frieze-like graved floral design and the dedication "Verehrt, am 15ten December 1846. Vom Erfurter=Sängerverein." and numerous monogrammes. The acanthusleaf shaped stem set on a circular base decorated with floral design. The interior is gilded. Makers mark "M". Circa 1845.
