Schmidt Kunstauktionen Dresden

Landschafts-, Tier- u. Genremaler. Bruder des Malers Meno, Vater des Albert Ernst Mühlig. Studium der Malerei an der Dresdener Akademie. Er stellte seine Werke seit 1852 auf den Dresdner Kunstausstellungen aus. 1853 Auftrag von Hermann Wilhelm von Witzleben, die schönsten Motive während einer gemeinsamen Wanderung durch Böhmen auf kleinen Bildern festzuhalten. 50 dieser Bilder gelangten um 1900 in den Besitz der Zwickauer Gemäldesammlung. Die Brüder Bernhard und Meno Mühlig gehörten zum Dresdner Kreis der Spätromantiker.
