1913–16 Lehre als Textilzeichner an der Königlichen Kunstschule für Textilindustrie Plauen, 1917–20 Assistent an selbiger. 1926–32 Ausstellungen mit der Vereinigung "Die Abstrakten". 1962–67 Lehrer an der Fachschule für angewandte Kunst Schneeberg. Seit 1975 wieder rege Ausstellungstätigkeit.
