With scattered creases and fold marks, wavy due to storage. Small moisture stain (ca. 15 mm).
141 x 68,5 cm.
Bronze. Bronze, with deep coloured patina. Round, flattened body, slightly tapered, supported on four round, conical feet, with a narrow neck and a flared rim. The sides with two leaf-shaped, cast handles. Front and back decorated with the shell of the god Krishna in relief between elephants with raised trunks (symbol of blessing and power). Inner and outer walls as well as the mouth rim with surrounding, chiselled, geometric and floral decorations.

994 Drei Mogul-Miniaturen. Rajasthan. Wohl späte Mogul-Periode oder 20th cent.
Tempera und Tusche auf Bütten, partiell vergoldet. Fein gemalte Szenen, eine mit einer Ritter- oder Prinzendarstellung, die anderen mit Darstellungen königlicher Jagden zwischen begleitendem Text Verso ebenfalls mit Text.
Jeweils insgesamt leicht stockfleckig, die re. Blattränder unaufällig gestaucht und vereinzelt farbspurig. Ein Blatt o.re. mit kleiner Fehlstelle, ein weiteres u.re. mit unscheinbaren Flüssigkeitsspuren.
Je 19,5 x 11,2 cm, Bl. 24,8 x 17,6 cm.
