743   Rare Meissen sugar bowl (butter-dish) with "Gelber Löwe" (Yellow Lion) pattern from the Royal Court Kitchen. Around 1740 / 1750.

Porcelain, glazed, decorated in polychrome overglaze colours, the lid with brown rim and artichoke knob. To the bottom marked with sword mark in underglaze blue, inscribed in overglaze purple with "K. H. K.' and embossed with the mould number "31'.
Provenance: Private collection, Dresden; estate of Hans Nadler, Dresden.

Lid does not close completely flat on one side. To the stand with three chips (approx. 6 mm, 3 mm, 1 mm) and very rarly tiny nicks. Body to the base with a short hairline crack (approx. 4 mm, only visible under UV light). The lid knob with a minimal chip (1 mm). Fine fire crack under the glaze at the base of the lid. Inconspicuously tiny fire spots.
