Alfred Hrdlicka
1928 Wien – 2009 ebenda
Malereistudium bis 1952 an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien bei Albert Paris Gütersloh und Josef Dobrowsky, anschließend bis 1957 Studium der Bildhauerei bei Fritz Wotruba. 1964 erlangte er internationale Bekanntheit als Vertreter Österreichs auf der Biennale in Venedig. 1971–89 Professor für Bildhauerei in Stuttgart, Hamburg, Berlin und Wien.
