1871 Dresden – 1950 Ainring/Bad Reichenhall

1892–94 Studium an der Kunstgewerbeschule Dresden. 1894–98 Studium an der Dresdner Kunstakademie bei Hugo Bürkner und Gotthardt Kuehl. 1897/98 Aufenthalt in Paris, Rom und München. Ab 1902 wohnhaft in Dresden, Gründungsmitglied der Gruppe "Die Elbier". 1913–37 Professor für figürliches Zeichnen an der Kunstgewerbeakademie Dresden. Hauptsächlich als Grafiker bekannt.
