Fitzenreiter studierte in Halle an der Burg Giebichenstein bei Gustav Weidanz u. in Berlin an der Akademie der Künste bei Heinrich Drake. Im Zentrum seiner künstlerischen Arbeit steht das Thema "Mensch", das der Bildhauer u. Plastiker in lebensgroßen Aktfiguren, Portraits, Kleinplastiken, Reliefs u. Medaillen umsetzt.

Wilfried Fitzenreiter 1932 Salza – 2008 Berlin

Bronze, Galvanoplastik in Kupfer, mit einer Zinn / Bleilegierung hintergossen. Dunkelbraun patiniert, das Relief partiell poliert und gewachst. Flachrelief. Drei Plaketten, verso mit dem Schlagstempel "Estro" (Ernst Strohbach, Dresden) versehen.

"GRIECHISCHE PRAEGVNG" 1978, Berlin. Monogrammiert u. Mi. "W" und "F", mittig des Monogramms die Darstellung einer Münze der Stadt Thurioi. Verso nummeriert "37" und "50".
