Zunächst als Schaufensterdekorateur und Reklamemaler tätig. Die künstlerische Ausbildung erfolgte autodidaktisch und wurde ab 1945 freischaffend im Bereich Malerei und Grafik ausgeübt. 1952 Mitglied des Verbandes Bildender Künstler der DDR sowie 1992 Mitglied im Chemnitzer Künstlerverband.

Zwei Farbholzschnitte / Holzschnitt. "Skifahrer" von fremder Hand bezeichnet "Manuwald" und nummeriert ""4/5" sowie im Passepartout montiert. "Erzgebirgische Dorflandschaft (Streckewalde)" verso mit dem Nachlass-Stempel versehen.

Vereinzelt minimal knickspurig.
