Désiré Jean Baptiste Christian

1846 Lemberg (Moselle) – 1907 Meisenthal

Glasmaler und -schneider. Studium der Malerei und Ausbildung zum Glasdekorateur, ab 1864 in der Glashütte Burgun, Schverer & Co (Meisenthal, Elsaß-Lothringen) tätig. 1877 übernahm er die Leitung der dortigen Veredelungswerkstätten. 1885–96 Ausführen von Entwürfen des Designers Emile Gallé unter Weiterentwicklung der Zwischenschichtmalerei. Um 1900 Gründung von Desiré Christian & Sohn.
