Friedensreich Hundertwasser

1928 Wien – 2000 auf dem Seeweg vor Australien

Geboren als Friedrich Stowasser, seit 1949 Künstlername. Studium an der Wiener Kunstakademie und Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris. U.a. durch die Werke E. Schieles beeinflusst sowie durch den Pariser Jugendstil. 1983 Baubeginn des Hundertwasserhauses in Wien. Im Jahre 2000 stirbt er auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff vor Australien.
