Utagawa Kunisada I.
1786 Edo (heute Tokio) – 1865 ebenda
Führender Ukiyo-e-Maler, Holzschnittmeister und Buchillustrator, Schüler von Toyokuni (1769–1825), dessen Namen er 1844 annahm. Danach als Toyokuni III geführt.

Wood cut in colours auf Japan, über ornamentaler Prägung. Jeweils Toshidama-Kartusche mit Künstlersignatur u.re. bzw. u.li. und Betitelung auf Rot mit seitlicher Erklärung o.re. Datumssiegel seitlich zur Künstlersignatur bzw. u.re. Verlagskartusche nicht auflösbar. Verso vereinzelt in Tusche oder Bleistift bezeichnet.
Blätter minimal angeschmutzt und knickspurig. Rechter Blattrand teilweise mit Resten einer früheren Bindung. Vereinzelt verso mit Resten einer alten Montierung.
Format: Oban tate-e (Figuren, ca. 39 x 26,5 cm).

Blatt leicht angeschmutzt. Ecke o.re. knickspurig. Verso Reste einer alten Montierung.

Wood cut in colours. Woodcut in colurs on Japan paper. Artists' signature in a red gourd-shaped cartouche bottom left. Title top right in Red. Name of the actor top top right, publishing cartouche with censor seal bottom right.
Paper slightly shopworn. Corners minimally bent. Small punctual lesions verso expertly lined. Verso rests of an old mounting.
Blatt etwas angeschmutzt. Ecken minimal knickspurig. Kleinere punktuelle Läsionen verso fachmännisch hinterlegt. Verso Reste einer alten Montierung.
