Hermann Glöckner
1889 Cotta/ Dresden – 1987 Berlin (West)
Konstruktiver Maler und Bildhauer. 1903 Gewerbeschule in Leipzig. 1904–07 Lehre als Musterzeichner für Textilien in Dresden, nebenbei Besuch der Kunstgewerbeschule im Abendstudium. Ab 1909 freiberufliche künstlerische Tätigkeit. 1915–18 Kriegseinsatz. 1921 Heirat mit Frieda Paetz. 1923/24 Studium an die Dresdner Kunstakademie bei Otto Gußmann. Mitglied der Dresdner Sezession Gruppe 1919. Seit 1926 regelmäßige Ausstellungen. Seit 1927 Mitglied des Deutschen Künstlerbunds. Durch Kriegsbeginn verstärkt Arbeiten am Bau. Nach 1945 Beschäftigung mit freier Abstraktion, Ausprobieren verschiedener Drucktechniken. Seit 1959 auch plastische Arbeiten. Ab 1979 Dauervisum für die BRD. 1986 Ehrenmitgliedschaft des "Deutschen Künstlerbundes".

Collage, on black panel the reproduction of a watersurface is mounted, topped by reproductions of different patterns. Verso signed "Glöckner" and dated "231267". In passepartout behind glass in 19th century Berlin frame.
Panel in parts inconspicuously abrased.

Tempera on graphite. Monogrammed in pencil "G" bottom right. Mounted on carrying paper in original passepartout by the artist. There to the reverse monogrammed "G" as well as signed in ink "Glöckner" and with the artists' stamp. On the bottom edge inscribed "II Maschine + Kirche (W)" and dated "190850/II N" in ink over pencil as well as with the abation number "2624" in pencil.

Tempera on newspaper. Not signed. To the reverse added the abatement number "2094" bottom left.
Paper burnished, the painting with detached losts to the coloured areas. Three inconsiderable tears to the lower margin, the larger of them professionally backed to the reverse.

Gouache on chamoiscoloured velin. With pencil monogrammed "HG" in ligature and dated bottom right. To the reverse with pencil signed "Herm. Glöckner" bottom left, dated bottom center "130653/3" as well as added with the abatement number "2162".
The sheet due to the technique minimal wavily and slightly bended.

Due to the technique slightly wavy and with traces of the working process; in some parts with bends.
